LAist post on "Urban Carnivores in Your Backyard"
The LAist news-and-culture blog chose one of my older photos of a city-fied coyote in LA’s Griffith Park to illustrate a post announcing a presentation on “Urban Carnivores in Your Backyard” today.

San Jacinto Tiger sculpture, Ramona Boulevard
Though I haven’t produced anything for them in nearly a month, the Valley Chronicle continues to use pieces I’ve done (thanks to Charlie for keeping things flowing). This photo illustrates a story on the renovation of a street in San Jacinto in preparation for July 4th activities.
I won’t be covering July 4th celebrations for them, but I do hope to get some good fireworks shots from a local display.

Bus, Missed
Yes, it’s the first posted shot from the new 5D Mark II. Is it worthy? Probably not. Had just a few minutes to break away at lunch and walked the neighborhood around work, so it’s what was in front of me.
The place on the corner keeps two old, wrecked British double-decker buses in the back behind chain-link – they haven’t moved in the year I’ve been around. I’m sure they served some glamorous Hollywood purpose in earlier days.
The ISO is pushed on purpose. I was going for a “look”. I don’t know that I achieved it.
